I find it interesting that when discussing the 2nd Amendment, it is automatically assumed that because I am a liberal that I am against guns. I’m not. I own several. I am not, however, in favor of extended clips, massive amounts of ammo, ammo that can rip through flak jackets, or assault weapons in the hands of the civilian population. I am for closing the loopholes that allow you to buy a weapon at a gun show without a back ground check. And I’m for a cooling off period (3-5 days) before you can take the weapon home. I think that these things should be federal laws, not state laws.
I have a real issue with the fact that reproductive laws are stricter than gun laws. Eleven states have waiting periods, when buying guns. Conversely, twenty three states have waiting periods to get an abortion.
